Review of the Maybelline Color Whispers

I LOVE THEM. LOL. Sorry I didn't come up with a more clever way of stating my opinion.  I love the color choice. There are 15 shades from a nude shade to a pinky red up to a dark berry. They are very moisturizing and glossy which you know I love.  Now if I did have any complaint it is not an "all day wear"
You do have to reapply throughout the day.
Now I have noticed that with some of the colors like #85 it does "stain" the lips. Now this does not mean like permanently but meaning that it does not "completely" wear off.

My advice if you CAN FIND THEM. Pick up a few. They are fun and the packaging is adorable. They are small and fit great in your bag.

Review of Dermagist program for acne prone skin
 September 2012

As I have said since the beginning of time. I would never sell out and recommend a product that I truly didn't like. Most of you know that since I became pregnant that I have had issues with my skin. I have had breakouts beyond belief.  My skin had never been so bad.  I was asked to try out a product by a company called Dermagist.  It is a 3 step program. It comes with a cleanser, a clarifying cream, and a cream that heals acne scarring. The system is pricey but what stands out to me is that it is natural and is safe for pregnancy. I was recommended by my doctor to not use pro active or my regular skin care product because it contains salicylic acid. I didn't even know you weren't suppose to use it :/

You are suppose to use the product twice per day and most of the time I did. I noticed at first it did bring everything to the surface and for the first few days my already wacky skin got worse but it did clear up and continues to be mostly clear. One thing that it didn't help is the tiny bumps I have on my forehead that you really cannot see unless you are up close.  I also haven't seen a complete clear up of blackhead BUT I have seen some improvement.I have also noticed the red patches I had issues with are completely gone and it has helped A LOT with the dryness and dry patches on my face.  I have been using this system for about 3.5 weeks consistently and the program does say it is a 30 day supply but I have plenty left. When I used proactive I always ran out of product about 10 days before my new kit came in the mail so I ended up ordering 2 kits a month.

Now the question is would I purchase this product myself? The answer is yes especially while I am pregnant.  I only wish they would come out with a brush like pro active to help even out those bumps and I would be a very happy girl. I must say the cleanser (bottle in the middle) is my favorite of the 3 and the clarifying cream comes in a close second (it is what helped with my dry patches).

Here is where you can go check it out and get it.  If you use it or order it let me know. I would love to compare notes.

Hidden Causes of Acne
These are just some things that may cause break outs that you may not be aware of.

1. Sleeping with your hair down- The oils from your hair do get on your face and can clog pores. I always put my hair up before bed.

2. Dirty Make up applicators- You should wash your brushes and change sponges frequently. I wash my brushes with Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo several times a week. Also doing that with your foundation brush will not get it fully clean. I usually use a few dabs of my facial cleanser along with the baby shampoo. This breaks down the foundation and removes it from the brush. P.s. Eye make up remover works as well.

3. Dirty Pillow Cases- You shed dead skin all the time and with your natural oils from your face and hair those pillow cases are a breeding ground for bacteria that causes acne. I wash my pillow cases AT LEAST weekly.

4. Not enough water- I know water is the foundation of everything including good skin

5. Stress- This is usually mine.

6. Popping Acne-If you pop your acne it is spreading it both under your skin and above.

7  Dead skin- You should be exfoliating several time a week if not everyday. Some people say to do this everyday but I know from personal experience it can be very drying so I just do it about 2-3 times a week.

8. Not washing your face both before make up application and at night- Oils from your hair are on your face in the morning along with dead skin. At night, even if your make up has worn off doesn't mean it is there. It is!

9. New Products-Give them time to work.

10. Allergies- Yes some people are allergic to different types of make up, and different brands. This is trial and error. I know it stinks because make up is so expensive.

11. Touching your face- Try to keep your hands away from your face. Our hands are filthy!
